Chicken Pakora is a popular Pakistani snack that consists of boneless chicken pieces that are coated in a spiced batter made with chickpea flour and deep-fried until golden and crispy. The chicken pieces are usually marinated in a mixture of spices, yogurt, and lemon juice to add flavor and tenderness before being coated in the batter.

Ingredients to make Chicken Pakora

  1. Chicken boneless 1 cup
  2. Soy sauce 1 tbsp
  3. Chili garlic sauce 1 tbsp
  4. Salt a pinch (if required)
  5. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  6. For batter:
  7. Gram flour (besan) 1/2 cup
  8. Salt 1/2 tsp
  9. Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Water to make paste
  11. Oil for frying

Process of Making Chicken Pakora

  • 1- First marinate chicken with soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, salt, and lemon juice.
  • 2- Keep the marinated chicken in fridge for minimum 1/2 hour.
  • 3- Then in a mixing bowl, add gram flour, salt and baking powder.
  • 4- Make a thick paste with water.
  • 5- Then, dip each piece of marinated chicken in gram flour mixture and deep fry in medium hot oil till chicken tender and get a good golden color on top.
  • 6- Put them on paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  • 7- Serve with ketchup or with your favorite chutney and enjoy.
